The Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN invites everyone to attend the online event entitled “Legacies and Standpoints: Filipino Women in Multilateralism” on 10 March 2023 at 1:00 pm (Philippine Standard Time).

The symposium is a tribute to the first lady senator of the Republic, Senator Geronima Tomelden-Pecson, an outstanding trailblazer who was instrumental in the creation of the Philippine National Commission for UNESCO and the first Filipina to be a member of the UNESCO Executive Board in 1950.
