The Philippine Mission to ASEAN, led by Permanent Representative Hjayceelyn M. Quintana, joined the 14th Meeting of the Committee of the Whole (CoW) for the ASEAN Economic Community held in hybrid mode on 18 January 2023. The meeting discussed Indonesia's economic priorities as the ASEAN Chair for 2023 to advance ASEAN's economic community building efforts. 

Representing the Philippines in Semarang, Indonesia are the Philippines’ Senior Economic Official to ASEAN, Trade and Industry Assistant Secretary Allan Gepty, and Economic Official Jeremiah Reyes, together with the officials from the Department of Trade and Industry - Bureau of International Trade Relations.

The Committee of the Whole (CoW) consists of all economic entities of ASEAN Member States, the Senior Officials of the economic, political-security, and socio-cultural communities of ASEAN, as well as the Ambassadors/Permanent Representatives of ASEAN based in Jakarta. END
