10 May 2022. - Ambassador/Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN Noel Servigon participated in the 16th Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN Plus Three Meeting on 10 May 2022 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.
During the meeting, Permanent Representative Servigon stressed the importance of educational cooperation and student exchanges among ASEAN Plus Three countries, and encouraged the speedy implementation of the ASEAN Plus Three Student Camp and International Seminar: “East Asian Studies at Major Universities.”
ASEAN Plus Three Countries conveyed their respective priorities for further cooperation under the ASEAN Plus Three mechanism, ranging from areas such as economic and financial resilience; food security; digital economy, micro, small and medium enterprises; public health cooperation; climate change; connectivity; and sustainable development, among others.
The ASEAN Plus Three is a mechanism for ASEAN Member States to pursue cooperation and enhance linkages with the Plus Three Countries, namely, China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. END.
