10 June 2022. - The Second Meeting of the ASEAN Senior Economic Officials for the 53rd ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting ran from 6 June 2022 to 10 June 2022 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Meeting was chaired by Cambodia as ASEAN Chair for 2022 and the Meeting was represented by Senior Economic Officials from ASEAN Member States (AMS). The Philippine delegation was headed by Ms. Denise Cheska Enriquez, Officer-in-Charge-Chief, Bureau of International Trade Relations of the Department of Trade and Industry.
The Meeting deliberated on the progress of the implementation of Cambodia’s Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs) for the year. The Meeting also engaged ASEAN’s external partners on further enhancing ASEAN’s external trade relations and enabling greater trade and investment, which are crucial for facilitating the economic recovery of the region for the benefit of the citizens of ASEAN Member States.
