31 March 2021, Jakarta. - Philippine Permanent Representative to ASEAN, Ambassador Noel Servigon, actively advanced Philippine positions and initiatives at the 15th ASEAN-Japan, 28th ASEAN-EU, 19th ASEAN-Russia, and 21st ASEAN-India Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) Meetings, all held via videoconference on 23, 26, 30 and 31 March 2021, respectively.
Ambassador Servigon encouraged external partners to collaborate with the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) which is based in the Philippines. He further encouraged cooperation on technical and vocational education and training (TVET), particularly through the ASEAN TVET Council, of which the Philippines is the inaugural Chair.
Joint Cooperation Committee Meetings are convened every year to take stock of cooperation projects as well as plot the future direction of cooperation between ASEAN and its external partners. The goal is to translate initiatives into concrete projects to benefit the peoples of ASEAN and its external partners. END.
