Mission’s personnel celebrate Buwan ng Wika with a story-telling let by Madame Chi Servigon (4th from right).
To celebrate Buwan ng Wika, the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN organized a get together of Mission’s family members on 30 August 2019. Madame Chi Servigon, spouse of Permanent Representative Noel Servigon, became ‘Nanay Chi’ for the day and read to the children of Mission’s personnel Filipino short stories. To further encourage the use of the Filipino language, Ambassador Noel Servigon presented all the children, aged 10 months to 7 years old, with Filipino storybooks. Third Secretary John Paul T. Samonte happily led the singing of the classic Filipino song Bahay Kubo, accompanied by all of the children.
Ambassador Servigon and Mme. Chi Servigon presented the children with story books in Filipino. Nanay Chi also read a story with the children.
