25 April 2019 – Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso met with Ms. Elaine Tan, Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation, to bring to a close their fruitful partnership in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ambassador Buensuceso will end her over 6-year tour of duty as Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN. She also served as the Philippines’ representative to various ASEAN bodies, including to the ASEAN Foundation Board of Trustees (BOT). Ambassador Buensuceso also served as the Chair of the BOT in 2018.

The Jakarta-based ASEAN Foundation works to promote awareness of ASEAN, as well as wider participation, especially among the youth, in ASEAN’s activities through initiatives that develop Member States’ human resources to realize their full potential. END.
