7 April 2019 – The personnel of the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN, led by Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, joined #ATINITO Pinoy Fiesta 2019 organized by the Filipino Community in Indonesia.

The event was officially opened by Ambassador Buensuceso and the Philippines’ Ambassador to Indonesia, Lee Hiong Wee. In her remarks, Ambassador Buensuceso highlighted the importance of Filipino Community-led events to galvanize our sense of unity despite being away from home. She also shared the Philippine Mission’s commitment to upholding national interests in the ASEAN Community.
The 2-day event brought together the different Filcom organizations like the Philippine Business Club Indonesia and Philippine Women’s Association and featured Philippine and Indonesian brands such as Philippine Airlines, Tolak Angin, Oishi, Asian Tigers and Potato Corner. Filipino and Indonesian entrepreneurs showcased products ranging from accessories, cosmetics to many culinary treats. The program included a mass, song and dance performances to add to the festivities.

The Permanent Mission’s booth contributed to the high spirit of the event through games to raise awareness of ASEAN, as well as the Philippine initiatives within its framework, while sharing homemade cassava, adobong mani, and ice candies. END
