8 April 2019 - Philippine Foreign Service Officers join other female diplomats from ASEAN Member States, Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea for a 2-day Regional Training on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Training, hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to provide a capacity-building platform for female diplomats in the areas of conflict prevention, conflict resolution and post-conflict peacebuilding.
The Opening Ceremony of the Training was held on 8 April 2019 at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta and was headlined by Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi. It was attended by Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN and other members of the Diplomatic Corps. END
