20 August 2018 - Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano symbolically presented the DFA Best Organization Award to the personnel of the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN during his visit to the Mission in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Award was given in recognition of Mission’s “indefatigable commitment and dedicated efforts during the Philippine Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2017” and was received by Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, during a ceremony in Manila on 20 June 2018.        

Ambassador Buensuceso proudly introduced each of Mission’s personnel to the Secretary and warmly underscored that while she, as Permanent Representative to ASEAN, has become one of the faces of the Philippines’ engagement in ASEAN, every member of her team was a crucial ingredient to the success of the Chairmanship. The Secretary thanked the Officers and Staff of the Mission for their excellent work and dedicated service.

The Permanent Mission is composed of 12 Foreign Service Officers and Staff, supported by a lean roster of local hires. END.
