Ambassador Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, met with H.E. Kim Young-chae, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, on 31 January 2018 at the Philippine Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Amb. Buensuceso and Amb. Kim exchanged views on the current status of ASEAN-ROK dialogue relations. They agreed to closely coordinate on various initiatives and projects to further deepen ASEAN-ROK strategic partnership. They further agreed to effectively utilize the ASEAN-ROK Cooperation Fund to generate big ticket projects for mutual benefit.

They also discussed preparations for the proposed visit of Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) to ROK later this year.
