40 years of Dialogue Relations - 14 February 2017, Jakarta. H.E. Elizabeth P. Buensuceso (above) Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN delivers her remarks highlighting the strong, deep and enduring partnership between ASEAN and Canada. As ASEAN Country Coordinator for Canada for 2017, Ambassador Buensuceso also congratulated Canada on its 150th Anniversary as a nation.
At the event, H.E. Marie-Louise Hannan, Canada's Ambassador to ASEAN and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN unveiled the commemorative logo to celebrate 40 years of ASEAN-Canada Relations. In her remarks, Ambassador Hennan emphasized the enduring links between Canada and the peoples of ASEAN and that for both ASEAN and Canada, diversity is a strength.
