H.E. Gladys Francisca Urbaneja Duran, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Indonesia, called on H.E. Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN on 23 March 2016 at the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN in Jakarta.
Ambassador Buensuceso briefed Ambassador Duran on ASEAN matters, including updates in ASEAN community building, ASEAN Vision 2025 and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN in 2017.
The Ambassadors also discussed possible ways to foster ASEAN-Venezuela cooperation through existing frameworks, such as the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC), ASEAN-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (ASEAN-CELAC) and ASEAN-MERCOSUR (Members of the Southern Common Market) frameworks of engagement.
