The Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN opened the week with “Blue Monday” in anticipation of the Philippines’ National Refugee Day, 20 June 2025. As a day of observance, National Refugee Day is an invitation for all Filipinos to strengthen our commitment to uphold the principles of human dignity and protection for all who seek safety within our borders, and inclusion despite differences in race, creed, or affiliation.

In its work of weaving Philippine principles and positions further into the fabric of ASEAN, the Mission endeavors to continue building on the nation's enduring legacy as a beacon of hope to displaced people from the region and around the world.
