ASEAN has been working towards building a community by 2015 following the Roadmap for an ASEAN Community 2009-2015. The ASEAN Community comprises three pillars, namely political and security cooperation, economic cooperation and socio-cultural cooperation.
Efforts toward building the ASEAN Community through the three pillars are translated into action lines in the following ASEAN Community blueprints:
(i) Blueprint of ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC)
(ii) Blueprint of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)
(iii) Blueprint of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC)
ASEAN has been cooperating with various external parties, primarily its Dialogue Partners, in building a stable, peaceful and prosperous ASEAN Community.
Dialogue Partners help ASEAN implement action lines in the ASEAN Community blueprints, thereby contributing to regional community building. ASEAN and Dialogue Partners cooperate in deepening regional economic integration and addressing regional challenges through cooperation projects and programmes.
Interested parties are invited to participate in the following programmes being implemented under ASEAN Cooperation and funded by ASEAN Dialogue Partners, by submitting their respective project proposals either to the Mission or Program Proponent:
